Try making this simple chikki recipe during Makar Sankrant. <br /> <br />Ingredients for Til Chikki: <br />1 Cup Sesame Seeds <br />1 Cup Sugar <br />1 tsp Ghee <br /> <br />Ingredients for Dry Fruits Chikki: <br />1 Cup Dry Fruits, chopped (Almonds & Cashews) <br />1 Cup Sugar <br />1 tsp Ghee <br /> <br />Method: <br />To make tilachi (sesame seeds)chikki <br />- First dry roast the sesame seeds till they change color. <br />- Heat a flat bottom pan. Add sugar and let it melt completely. <br />- Once the sugar melts, switch off the flame and add roasted sesame seeds. Mix everything well. <br />- Pour the mixture on a greased flat surface. Flatten it out and let it cool down for 15 minutes. <br />- Cut it in squares and serve. <br /> <br />To make dry fruits chikki <br />- Heat a flat bottom pan. Add sugar and let it melt completely. <br />- Once the sugar melts, switch off the flame and add the dry fruits. Mix everything well. <br />- Pour the mixture on a greased flat surface.
